Interesting flag

Prompted by an entry of a friend on a certain social networking site (which we now happen to be featured on: http://www.facebook.com/pages/First-Nation-Catholicism-Past-Present/108082899229152?ref=ts) related to the subject of proposed flags for Canada, I stumbled upon a particular flag used by The Mi'kmaq Nation (In case you are unfamiliar with The Mi'kmaq, here is a link related to their history: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mi'kmaq).


Anyway this is the flag in question (It can be found at the link below):






I do not really have much to add to that which is states in the link above. I do wonder what would have came of The Mi'kmaq and other Catholic Native groups had they been allowed more of a say in the formation of a Catholic Culture within their cultural context.
